This family. This baby. She had to be one of THE most adored little babies I've ever photographed. Her parents were so dang sweet and gentle with her all throughout our session. It was beautiful to watch. Soon after meeting and talking with them I could easily see that these are some good, kind, incredibly neat people. THIS you guys. This is what life is all about. No matter what your family looks like. It's about love and connection and finding all the joy we can along the way.
I am not very good at posting on this little blog and need to do better. I have been blessed to work with the sweetest couples and families lately and I hope to get many of their sessions posted here on the blog soon.
These two are troopers and are just the sweetest. Their bridal session last fall was at Thanksgiving Point. They were stuck in traffic and we ended up with very little time before Ashton Gardens was closing but I was so happy with what we were able to accomplish so quickly. Here are a few from their session.
Today, I'm feeling grateful. I'm so thankful for my child's birth mother for making the choice to place her sweet baby, who she loved so much, with our family. Because of her, we are the family that we are today.
How cool is it that we have a National Adoption Awareness Month?! I love it. It doesn't take much for me to get sentimental and emotional (any time of the year) about adoption and how it has blessed my life, but I think it's so great that we have this month where so many, all around country, are sharing their stories and celebrating how adoption as touched them.
In our case, our child was place with us as an infant but, of course, that isn't always the case. There are so many waiting children out there who need families. If any of you have questions about adoption, reach out, I'd love to help. And if I can't answer your questions, I can try to put you in touch with someone who can.
